Dan Lessmann

President

Dan Lessmann graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1983 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. After graduating, Dan did design work for a variety of manufacturing firms from oil field equipment manufacturing and production to advanced air filtration systems.

During this time, Dan saw the vital role computers and computer technology were beginning to play in the design field and in business in general. He redirected his career to support and management of sophisticated Computer Aided Engineering networks and software.

In 1985, he became an Applications Engineer for Manufacturing and Consulting Services, Inc.  a leading provider of computer aided engineering software based in Scottsdale, AZ. There he provided on-site customer support and consulting. He was instrumental in streamlining customers' design processing by helping them fully utilize the advantages of technology.

Dan returned to Oklahoma City in 1989 and joined CMI Corporation, a leading manufacturer of road building equipment, as Computer Aided Engineering Systems Manager. In this role, he managed a sophisticated computer network and developed training programs for users and custom software for manufacturing processes.

Dan moved into the entrepreneurial arena in 1991 as General Partner, then Managing Partner, of Data Systems Consultants. He currently serves as President of the 14-year old information management firm, which specializes in helping a broad spectrum of businesses increase efficiency through technology.

On a personal note, Dan enjoys music and the arts, cycling, running, snow skiing and scuba diving. He is also an avid reader and enjoys woodworking and home improvement projects and amateur astronomy. His next goal is to earn his private pilot’s license.
