  1. Access your client area.  You'll need to know your client access login and password 
    to do this.  Call us at 405.495.9900 if you don't have this information.  NOTE: all log in names 
    and passwords are lower case.
  2. Download the new executable.
    1. Click the program you wish to download from your client area. You’ll see a 
      "File Download" window.
    2. If it’s not already selected, click the "Save this program to disk" option and click OK.
    3. You’ll be prompted for a location where you wish to save the program. Select your desk-
      top and click OK.
  3. Rename the server copy of your program.
    1. Once the program is saved to your desktop, make sure everyone exits from your server 
      copy of the program.
    2. Open up "My Computer" and drill down to the location of the server copy of the program. 
      This will normally be something like "f:\dsc\app_name" where app_name is the name of 
      your program.
    3. Locate the program file and rename it to a backup copy. The program file will always be 
      app_name
      .exe. Rename it to something like app_name.exe.001 or 002, etc.
    4. Click "Yes" in the warning dialog regarding changing the extension of a file.
    5. If you receive a "sharing violation" message, someone (maybe you) is still running the 
      program.
    6. To save server disk space you may optionally delete older backup copies of your program.
      Always keep at least one backup copy so you can place it back into production if needed.
  4. Copy the new version to the server.
    1. Return to your desktop and right click the new program. Select copy from the pop up menu.
    2. Return to the My Computer window and right click off of any icons. Select paste from the 
      pop up menu. This will copy the program from your desktop to the server.
    3. When the copy is complete, you can delete the copy from your desktop and everyone can 
      reenter the program.
